Trade Union Congress (TUC), Nasarawa State chapter has again enjoyed from the large heart, generosity and compassion which H.E Engr. A.A Sule has for the entire workers of Nasarawa State, as the Governor promised the building of TUC State Secretariat.
Engr Sule made this declaration when he received the TUC delegation led by its Chairman, Comrade Mohammed Umar Doma who pleaded with the Governor to assist witt three critical pleas, ranging from lifting of embargo for In-service training for civil servants in the state to further acquire more education in the tertiary institutions within and outside the state for adequate service delivery, approval of primary healthcare in the 500 housing estate along Doma road, as well as the construction of State Secretariat for the union.
Moved by the plea of Comrade Umar who stressed that (TUC): Trade Union Congress over the years does not have a state secretariat where they can be easily reached for official transactions.
Responding to their demands placed before the governor, H.E Engr. A.A Sule was elated having the Congress of the Trade Union giving his administration maximum support by contributing to peace-building and sustenance of harmonious working relationship with government in the state.
The governor promised to build the Secretariat which would come in two installment of 10 million naira each so as to create ample time and room for adequate and holistic project monitoring of the estimated 23 million naira cost of building the Secretariat.
His Excellency also urged the TUC to take it upon themselves to sensitize the local government civil servants as to what financial autonomy entails, in order not to blame him for either non payment of salaries or late payment of workers in the local government areas.
The governor then promised to act on the approval of a primary health care facility in the 500 housing Estate in Lafia.
