HOW ENGR A.A. SULE IS TACKLING EDUCATION FROM GROUND ZERO- FROM MAY 2019:
Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule came into the office of Governor on May 29th 2019 with a burning desire on his mind: “WHAT IS THE STATE OF BASIC AND SECONDARY EDUCATION TODAY IN NASARAWA STATE”
Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule engaged the Faculty of Social Sciences in the Federal University of Lafia to conduct a baseline survey that will reveal the real status of schools in Nasarawa State.
The Research Team was led by: Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, who was supported by a topnotch team which included Dr. Ikoh Moses, Dr. Joseph Okwori, Dr. George Genyi, Dr. Ilemona Adofu, Dr. David Ugal and the state-wide survey held from December, 2019 to March, 2020 and covered 1,350 Primary and 413 Secondary Schools located in urban and rural areas throughout Nasarawa State.
His Excellency Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule swore in the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Nasarawa State on the 1st of November 2019 and the Governor handed him a mandate which was premised on a strategic plan to make sure that within two years of Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule stewardship, the administration of Nasarawa State had become a governance which was anchored on rule of law, transparency, accountability, child protection, inclusion of the poorest of the poor and enduring institutions of probity and fiscal discipline rather than a state governed by on the basis of political loyalty, religion, ethnicity or the wanton whim or caprices of political office holders.
Nasarawa State is blessed with 2.7 million hectares of land, out of which 1 million hectares is arable and suitable to any form of agriculture. That is why he has positioned Agribusiness as ‘the key driver to his administration’s unique approach to industrialization’, creation of jobs and empowerment of youths and women in Nasarawa State.

It is a known fact that ordinary people get involved in sports for reasons of social connections, exercise, passion, competition, etc. – but a government which has shown so much love and commitment towards sports development like the administration of Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule in Nasarawa State, and has invested and still continues to support sports development in Nasarawa State with so much zest, must be aiming for higher societal goals and objectives.
Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule’s blueprint of leadership and handmaiden is NEDS: Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy and this NEDS document emphasizes that Nasarawa State must be competitive in terms of its “livability” or ability to attract investors to relocate and raise their families in Nasarawa State.
Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule is well aware that government policies and regulations play a decisive role in stimulating business activity and enhancing market contestability in any state, so Engr. Sule began to stimulate investment on assuming office in May 2019 by offering ‘Investor Protection’ through regulations and enforcement by government agencies, as well as ‘Incentives and Tax Holidays’, so as to ensure that the business & investment climate in Nasarawa State is attractive, fair and fraudulent activities are eliminated.
In the last three years, from May 29th 2019, Engr Abdullahi A. Sule has achieved some remarkable feats, such that as a May 2022:
Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule was born on December, 26th, 1959 in Gudi Station of Nasarawa State where he attended the Roman Catholic Mission Primary School.
His first encounter with Economics was as a student of Zang Secondary Commercial School in Jos Plateau State.
Abdullahi Sule later in life proceeded to Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Indiana, USA where he graduated with B.Sc. Mechanical Technology and M.Sc. Industrial Technology in 1984e
