ANALYSIS:
Early in his administration, Engineer Sule made it a habit to take Evaluable me out of his busy schedule to pay “UNEXPECTED VISITS offices and UNSCHEDULED “WHISTLE STOPS” on citizens of Nasarawa State, whether they are rich or poor. The belief of Governor Sule was that “IF A GOVERNOR PERIODICALLY VISITS HIS
OWN CITIZENS” it will encourage them to excel in their chosen careers and bring both the elite and masses of Nasarawa State together. It is in this regard and to promote ethical conduct and professional excellence that Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule visited the
Minister of State, Science, and Technology, Barrister Mohammed Hassan Abdullahi in his office in Abuja. A few days earlier, the Governor had paid a similar “unexpected morning visit” on another outstanding “son of the soil” Justice Halilu Yusuf in his home at Gwarinpa, Abuja. Once upon a time, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule went “unannounced” to condole PDP Chairman Francis Orogu over the untimely death of
his wife and also visited the families of Late APGA icon, Hon. Sam Alu as well as the respected Justice Abundaga when he lost his son who was a soldier. It will also be recalled that Governor Sule recently diverted “quietly” into Nasarawa Eggon on Saturday 22nd February 2020 at 6.22 pm, to visit the home of Late APC Chieain Zakari Idde, where he shared 15 minutes of gentle words of encouragement, prayer, and goodwill to help the family of Late Zakari Idde survive without their father and breadwinner. Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule showed up “unannounced” in various
Ministries and Agencies in “the very” first few weeks of his stewardship, so as to ascertain for himself, the actual me public servants go to their offices. In the recent past, Engineer Sule also went on a surprise visit to see for himself the abandoned Sports Academy in Akwanga and he “instantly” decided-there and donate to renovate the worst hostel in Government College Keffi (i.e. Benue Hostel) just as the school celebrated 70 years of establishment. The intervention of Governor Sule in Garaku, Keffi or Lafia is anchored on how to institute a mechanism by which ALL secondary schools in Nasarawa State will be renovated, maintained, secured, and standardized to meet with minimum standards of hygiene, safety, basic comfort, and security. By carrying all strata of society along; Governor Abdullahi A. Sule has shown that he is inclusive in his approach to political leadership and astute in bringing Nasarawa State to its rightful place of destiny as an industrial hub and a haven for global investors.
