This is also the edition where Governor Abdullahi A. Sule is named “ALAKU” by the EGGON ethnic nationality, where Engineer Sule placated the people over the upheavals of ethnic milia that engulfed the Eggon nation in the distant past, which the Governor attributed to the handiwork of disgruntled politicians but in his own words; “Now I can see the unity of Nasarawa State in this hall and I thank God Almighty for it!”
ANALYSIS:
The visit of global leaders and elders of the Eggon nationality to Engineer Sule in government house Lafia was indeed history defining, given the wide spectrum of the delegation which comprised leadership of the Eggon Cultural and Development
Association (ECDA), Eggon Council of Elders, Royal fathers, ECDA women wing, Eggon Youth Movement (EYM), political representatives in government both at state and national level, Eggon intellectuals, technocrats, and stakeholders; and some ECDA
national representatives council members among a galaxy of Eggon political heavyweights. The endorsement of Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule by the Eggon nation is not just because of his vision for increased economic prosperity which is sure to improve the quality of lives of the majority of citizens of Nasarawa State; BUT Governor Sule seems to have earned this measure of support from the Eggon because of his open and sincere style of social inclusion. Recall that Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule donated N3 million to mark the 20th anniversary of EGGON NEWS at Abacha Youth Centre in Lafia, on Thursday 21st November 2019. Recall also that only five days earlier, on 16th November 2019, Nasarawa Eggon market had been razed down by fire and Governor Sule rushed to the scene of the burnt market the very next day on 17th November 2019, where he sympathized with the traders and promised to build a befing
modern market for Nasarawa Eggon reminiscent of the ultramodern markets in Lafia, Karu, Akwanga and Gudi. It is to reaffirm the promise he made that Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule hosted stall owners from the burnt Nasarawa Eggon Market at government House Lafia on 8th January 2020, to reassure them that he remains committed to building a modern market in Nasarawa Eggon for them. Clearly, therefore, Engineer Sule is the type of Governor who “walks his talk” and “HIS WORD IS HIS BOND!”

Given the fragile nature of the Eggon nation with government house Lafia, it is historic that the Eggon people collectively recognized through the voice of Senator Godiya Akwashiki that Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule, was in their own words: “an epitome
