It was a 28-vehicle convoy that le Lafia and arrived in Jos, the Plateau State where Engineer Sule stated that his visit was aimed at renewing ancestral es of friendship, unity, and brotherliness, as Plateau State goes through this difficult period. Sule further enjoined the people of Plateau State not to be
discouraged by the recent tragic incidents, but continue to have faith in God and never to allow those who instigate crises to distract them from building an inclusive and secure plateau state.
ANALYSIS:
Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule is the FIRST GOVERNOR in the history of Nasarawa State to EVER constitute an Investment and Economic Advisory Council, whose purpose is to strictly: “promote economic empowerment and the general wellbeing of people of Nasarawa State!” and guide the A.A. Sule Administration to initiate policies
that are economically viable and ensure the implementation of NEDS: Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy. Scholars say that a leader’s political capital can best be conceptualized as the sum of such a leader’s SKILLS, RELATIONS, and REPUTATION. By visiting Plateau State and with such an awe-inspiring convoy of 28 vehicles will show to the world that Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule can be identified by traits such as compassion, competency, trustworthiness, and qualities of sincere caring
Compassion is the humane quality of understanding the suffering of others and wanting to do something to alleviate that suffering. That is what the condolence visit to Plateau State symbolized, but it also took INTEGRITY on the part of Engineer Sule to lead his cabinet, traditional rulers, Senators, and members of the Federal House of Representatives, as well as all echelons and cadre of Nasarawa State government to Plateau State. It is noteworthy and also a clear testimony to his sense of compassion, that very early in his near 10 months old stewardship of Nasarawa State, that Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule mandated a statewide DISABILITIES ADVOCACY TOUR TO TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS, wherein the governor charged the tour team to visit schools and listen to students living with disabilities so that we can beer understand their peculiar plights, challenges and needs; and also ensure that educational tools in literary institutions are suited to persons living with disabilities.
