ANALYSIS:
Scholars have said that a great leader is one who possesses a clear vision, is courageous, and has integrity. Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule is clear and concise at all times and this attribute began to show very early in his administration th from May 29 2020, when within 48 hours of assuming office as Governor of Nasarawa State, the GovernorNdistributed fifty (50) sewing and fiy (50) grinding machines to some selected youths and women across the State in fulfillment of his campaign promises on youth empowerment. th In another 11 days, precisely on June 13 2019, the governor plunged into work by conducting ministerial briefings with departments and agencies, so as to acquire firsthand grasp of the factual situation in government th st ministries from 13 June to 1 July 2019. This led him to constitute a commiee of technocrats to restructure and reform the Nasarawa State Public Service and within two weeks, the work of this committee was done. These early antecedents proved beyond reasonable doubt that Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule came “prepared to work as Governor of Nasarawa State!” By reaching out to instuons like NIRSAL which who can help Nasarawa State, he quickly showed that as a Governor Engineer Sule had foresight, courage, passion for political leadership, and personal humility. It has been said that: “management is about persuading people to do things they do not want to do, while leadership is about inspiring people to do things they never thought they could!” Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule went to Ministers Raji Fashola and FCT Minister to spur them to collaborate with Nasarawa State, but beyond that the Governor also went to help them reach their own goals as portfolio Ministers.
