Engr Abdullahi A. Sule was sworn in as Governor of Nasarawa State on May 29th 2019 and like any new governor, he defined his administration’s agenda and vaunted that within four years, from 2019 to 2023, he would make Nasarawa State join the elite rank of TOP THREE MOST COMPETITIVE STATES in Nigeria.

As Nigerians listened with skepticism, Engr Sule set an even taller bar by declaring that the mantra of his new administration will be to “EXCEED ALL EXPECTATIONS”, which ultimately gave the impression that he was set to go beyond and above the call of duty as governor of Nasarawa State.
As he clocks three years in office, the people of Nasarawa State have been the living witnesses to the unrelenting zeal and character of Engr Abdullahi Sule who made it a traditional to get to his office in government house Lafia, by 8.30am every morning.
Day after day, Engr Abdullahi Sule has continued to exhibit signature zeal and unrelenting purpose. At first, he spoke against the abuse of the Almajiri child, then he signed the Child Protection Law and banned Street Begging.
He shocked his audience at Lafia Square when he declared without soft pedaling that: “NO GOVERNOR IN NIGERIA HAS ANY REASON TO STEAL PUBLIC FUNDS” and then he confounded the people by saying HE IS WARY OF THE DAY HE WILL FACE THE ALMIGHTY GOD and give account of his stewardship as Governor.
As the very first fundamental step towards rescuing education in Nasarawa State, Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule allocated 26% to the education sector in the very first budget of his administration i.e., “in the 2019-2020 budget” and 35 percent in the subsequent year going above the UN recommended global benchmark of 20 percent of annual expenditure
