The ancient town of Keffi which is located in the western senatorial constituency of Nasarawa State witnessed the presence of a good number of politicians and business tycoons, administrators per excellence, friends and associates of His Excellency Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule from far and near on Saturday, 25th, 2022 to grace the wedding fatiha of Hassan Suleiman, the son of the Engr A.A Sule and Salamatu Mohammad Odeh.
The marriage ceremony took place at the Palace of the Emir of Keffi, and enjoyed the blessings and prayer of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno, Umar Ganduje of Kano, Prince Adedapo Abiodun of Ogun State and Idi Barde Gubana – deputy governor of Yobe State.
The Emir of Lafia, His Royal Highness Sidi Bage Muhammad asked on behalf of the groom Hassan Suleiman of Salamatu Mohammad Odeh’s hand in marriage from Musa Zubairu Edekudu who stood in for the bride’s father – Mohammad Odeh after confirming the payment of 500,000 naira as dowry, a tradition in Islam which consummates marriage together with consent from the both the groom and the bride’s parent.
The Emir of Lafia in appreciation for the consent given by the bride’s father said – they will keep the trust that had been handed over to them in safety and would strive by the special grace of God to fulfill all the obligations that are vested upon them by extending all the rights and privileges due to the bride. The wedding reception later took place at the Nasarawa State University Auditorium in Keffi.
The groom’s father Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule urge the newly wed to always respect one another, to respect their parents, friends and neighbors and to be honest to each other at all times.
Others important dignitaries that shared the joy of the Governor’s son wedding was his Deputy Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, National Assembly Members, former governors Senator Abdullahi Adamu APC National Chairman, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura and traditional rulers, top government functionaries amongst others.
