His Excellency, Engr Abdullahi A. Sule has pointed out that his administration would accelerate measures to ensure that it strengthens the more the already existing ease of doing business document to improve/maximize it’s chance of the newly introduced World Bank Initiative known as States Action on Business Enabling Reform (SABER).
Engr A.A. Sule gave this insight during the State Executive Council meeting which held on the 27th July, 2022 in Government House Lafia.
He buttressed that the new World Bank Initiative (SABER) is to succeed the States Fiscal Transparency, Accountability and Sustainability (SFTAS) program that is soon ending.
The merits of SABER comes with the encouragement of revenue generation by the state government. “We should pay more attention in the area of strengthening business enabling reforms”, states that’s meets this criteria stand the chance of earning up to the tune of 65 million US dollars from the programme which will take off by January 2023 to December 2025.
The 3 years programme fund will be disbursed annually to States of federation that qualified through observing the criteria put in place by the World Bank.
The governor also spoke on the need for the state to Fast track modalities toward working on attractive initiatives to ensure the ease of doing business in order to qualify for the disbursement.
