As Nigerians get set for the official commencement of political campaigns for the 2023 Elections, which will soon be announced by INEC, a think tank called YADEI has launched THE NIGERIA CITIZENS GOOD GOVERNANCE INITIATIVE in Abuja
At the event, coordinator of YADEI, Comrade Inyanda described, Engr Abdullahi A. Sule who was Special Guest as “a vibrant and consequential governor who has shown that he is transparent, patriotic and accountable”
While delivering his paper on: THE CONSEQUENCES OF BAD LEADERSHIP ON CITIZENS,” Engr A.A. Sule restated that; a good leader is one who listens to his people, so that he can understand what the people really want, and what they consider as priority, instead of imposing whatever the leader believes is the priority of his people!”
Governor Sule who was represented by Yakubu Lamai, DG: Strategic Communication, commended YADEI for creating such a laudable platform for Good Governance, with which they intend to tour 744 local government areas across Nigeria, so as to mobilize citizens to enter into a social contract with the politicians who wish to contest in 2023.
YADEI also confirmed that they established the GOOD GOVERNANCE platform, so that ordinary people will be taught how to assess Nigerian politicians on the basis of TRANSPARENCY, EQUITY, INCLUSIVENESS, RULE OF LAW, ACCOUNTABILITY and COMPETENCE.
YADEI stated that because of the proven efficiency and transparency of Engr Abdullahi A. Sule, YADEI will begin its tour of 744 local governments in Nasarawa State and conduct all its trainings and mobilization “free of charge” to the people of Nasarawa State.
In attendance at the event were activists, youth leaders, unionists and the 85 years old National President of Market Women in Nigeria Chief Mrs. Fatima popularly called “Mama Nigeria”, all gearing up for an exciting campaign season to change the political narrative in Nigeria.
