His Excellency, Engr Abdullahi A. Sule has distributed vehicles to security agencies, traditional rulers and Government agencies in the State. The latest development took place at Government house Lafia on Wednesday 24th August, 2022. The distributed vehicles to security operatives, traditional rulers and government agencies is part of the Government resolve in it’s mantra of ensuring that the relative peace enjoyed in the State is sustained.
The vehicles comprises of 20 brand new Hilux, 10 brand new salon cars, as well as a good number of fairly used cars. Among the beneficiaries include security agencies: the Police, Army, DSS, Airforce, NSCDC, FRSC, NDLEA and Police Medical Unit. Others includes: the Nasarawa Waste Management Bureau, Pension Bureau, Shehu Ibrahim DG: BITC, Mallam Yakubu Lamai DG: Strategic Communication and Events Management, NADP, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Science and Technology, NASIDA, Ministry of Women Affairs, Office of Auditor General (State and local government) and Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
Also part of the beneficiaries are the religions leaders under the auspices of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), leaders of the Muslim Community and Vigilantes/hunters group.
In the opening speech of the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Mohammed Ubandoma Aliyu who stressed that, since the ascendary of Engr A.A Sule into office, he has continued to pay attention to the provision of security to ensure adequate protection of lives and properties of the people of Nasarawa State. Barrister Ubandoma mentioned that the administration of Engr. A.A Sule has so far acquired and distributed 129 vehicles.
In his vote of thanks, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule appreciated stakeholders and the entire people of Nasarawa State for their continues support to his government as Nasarawa State is one of the safest States in Nigeria.
Governor A.A Sule added that his administration will continue to give maximum support to security agencies across the state in order to enhance their operation towards maintaining peace and order in the State.
