I am honoured and privileged to join you today on the occasion of a Two-Day Colloquium on the theme “Renewed Efforts to Curb Insurgency and Spate of Insecurity in Nigeria” taking place here, at the Sultan Maccido Institute for Peace, Leadership and Development Studies, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
I commend the organizers of this auspicious event for conceiving and staging this occasion at this crucial me when our collective efforts need to be coordinated and new strategies evolved in order to stem the de of insurgency and spate of insecurity in the country. I, particularly note the focus of the Institute on Nasarawa State aimed at drawing experience from our effort at curbing the security menace.
