The Trade Union Congress (TUC), Nasarawa State chapter has declared total and absolute support for the reelection of Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule in the forthcoming election in 2023.
The TUC which is renowned and respected for always not giving in to the antics of government, has on Tuesday 19th July, 2022 made a historic declaration of “TOTAL SUPPORT!” at Government House Lafia when the State Chairman of TUC, Comrade Muhammed Umar Doma led a solidarity visit to H.E. Engr Abdullahi A . Sule describing him as “AN UNCOMMON GOVERNOR DOING UNCOMMON THINGS!”.
Comrade Umar in his remarks, stated that: “In politics, there is a period of no retreat and no surrender” which is why the sole aim of the. TUC visit was to appreciate Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule for his resilience in ensuring that the welfare of the union improves in the last 3 years!”. The TUC Chairman affirmed that workers & TUC in Nasarawa State had never had it so good, since the creation of Nasarawa State, as they are enjoying under the administration of Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule. Comrade Umar Doma added that with Engr. Sule as governor, civil servants in the State are well taken care of, hence, their conviction to throw their full 100% weight of support behind the governor.
It would be recalled that before the coming of Engr. A.A Sule as governor of Nasarawa State, there were issues of promotions, payment of arrears, gratuity, and percentages in salaries. But on assumption into office, Engr. A.A. Sule has changed all of that for the better. Today, civil servants enjoy 100% payment of their monthly salary, gratuity are being paid and pensioners are smiling every month.
His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule who was moved with emotions, thanked the TUC for their unalloyed support and maintained that his dream for Nasarawa State is to pay salaries from the savings generated from the State IGR without depending on federal allocation.
