It is often said that “a friend in need is a friend indeed!” and this applies aptly to His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi A Sule, who is never tired to listen to the plight of fellow citizens and promptly extend a helping hand. Only recently, a certain Evangelist Jerry Manga who is a resident of Lafia living in Kwanka, Lafia was a victim of fraudsters, who infiltrated into his Bank Account domiciled at Fidelity Bank Lafia Branch.
The sad incident which took place sometime in April put Evangelist Manga in under considerable financial strain. As a man of faith, Evangelist Jerry Manga decided to write a personal letter to His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A Sule, wherein he stated through his letter, the plight of the Manga family, while seeking for financial assistance of only 80,000 Naira to pay the school fees of his daughter, who incidentally is presently schooling at Government Science Technical College Bukuru.
Typical of Engr A.A. Sule, he promptly exceeded the modest request of Evangelist Jerry Manga by going ahead to also contribute more than the amount of money requested by Evangelist Manga, because the Governor felt he should also register WAEC, NECO and JAMB for the daughter.
Out of sincere gratitude and excitement and as a way of showing appreciation, Mr. Jerry Manga presented a PERSONAL PLAQUE OF APPRECIATION to the Governor, which he brought to Government House earlier today 25th MAY, 2022. His Excellency was on his way to pay condolences to a family in town, when he was accosted beside his car by the DG Strategic Communication and the Governor gladly stood by his car and collected the plaque from Evangelist Jerry Manga.
His Excellency also exchanged pleasantries with Evangelist Manga, who was struck by the utter simplicity, humility, and humane compassion of Engr Abdullahi A. Sule. To the elderly Evangelist Jerry Manga, his heart overflowed with joy not because of the money he was given, but because of the love and kind attention of the Governor to him in government
