The Governor presented the certificate of occupancy and the Hilux van to the Executive Vice Chairman of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) during the groundbreaking ceremony of the project on Monday 1st August, 2022 in Lafia.
Engr Abdullahi A. Sule stated that his administration made the decision of issuing C of O of the site to NASENI in order to wave any associated cost of obtaining the certificate to fast track the immediate take-off of the institute construction. Engr A.A Sule also made a commitment of ensuring adequate supervision of the project.
Governor Sule commended the Federal Government for chosing Nasarawa State to site the establishment of AMEDI which is coming very handy, he said it will create wealth and poverty alleviation through transformation of agricultural sector into an industrial hub.
This is in line with the Nasarawa State government policy thrust of his administration to create wealth, human capital development and employment generation to improve the economy of the State. Hence, our reason for developing the Nasarawa State Investment Development Agency (NASIDA) to oversee the economy of the State.
Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule also showed gratitude to the Executive Vice Chairman of NASENI, Prof. Mohammed Sani Haruna for his exemplary and visionary leadership and effort to establish AMEDI in Lafia.
