The coalition of youth Association in Nasarawa state under the auspices of the National Youth Council of Nigeria(NYCN) has endorsed Engr. Abdullahi Sule for re- election in the coming 2023 general election through a unify endorsement for another four years. The endorsement was done at the 2022 National Youth Day which was held as an interactive session that brings different youth Association to celebrate the contribution of youth to national development, the day set aside by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking at the event was the chairman (NYCN) Nasarawa chapter Comrade Muhammad Loko who gave assurance of the unanimous support and readiness of the entire youth of the state to actualize the re-election of Engr. A.A Sule comes 2023. Comrade Loko further appreciate the Governor’s effort towards the youth of the State, he expresses the passion and commitment His Excellency is demonstrating on youth development and empowerment which was exemplified in the regulation of 2,500 engaged teacher, additional 500 recruit teacher and disbursement of bursary allowance to student across the country. The chairman of NYCN sought for the Governors support in speeding the passing of the Youth Bill in the State House of Assembly, also the appointment of youth as chairmen. Comrade Muhammad equally pleaded for the implementation of the united nation resolution 2050 on youth and security, active participation in State Security Council as well as pleading for the renovation of the Ibrahim Abacha Youths center.
In his response, Engr. Abdullahi Sule expressed joy and delight on seeing how united the youth of the state are, urging them to be of good conduct and Ambassadors of peace to the state and the country at large. reminding them of their responsibility and calling, Governor A.A Sule mentioned how important they are, enlightening them on the power the possess and they should use it to bring about positive transformation in the society.
Engr. A.A Sule encouraged the youth to engage themselves in recreational and legal activities of various fields, they should acquire skills that will push them to enviable height. citing the 2000 youth who had enrolled for training at the wing commander Abdullahi Ibrahim vocational and skill acquisition institute in lafia recently, the Governor advised the youth to explore the institute as well as the youth revolving funds scheme by Bank of industry saying that 500milion naira will be given to eligible youth to materialize their business ideas.
Engr. Abdullahi Sule concluded by appreciating the Youths of the State for their endorsement of additional tenure ahead of the 2023 general elections.
