The ascension to power of His Excellency, Engr Abdullahi A. Sule in 2019 as the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State has indeed been a blessing to the people of the state seeing the 1,000km rural roads he has constructed across the State to enable access to the hinterlands and to ease their suffering of bringing out agricultural produce to the markets in the urban areas.
This was mentioned by the Director General of the Nasarawa State Bureau for Rural Development, Mustapha Yahuza Musa II on Friday 29th July, 2022 in Lafia.
According to the Mustapha Yahuza, there are three major road projects currently undertaken by the bureau, the Keana-Abuni in Awe LGA, 27km, Kofan Gwari-Bakin Ayeni in Kokona, 15km and Andaha-Rinze, 17km in Akwanga. So far, the bureau has completed the 1,000km rurals across the state with the three zones benefitting from the projects.
The roads completed by the bureau are: Shabu/Doka/Arigbadu/Alakyo, 10km. Agwede/Ashope/Atabula/Obi, 21km. Kanje/Abuni, 27.9km. Kagbu Atsko/Kagbu Wana, Masaka/Luvu, Mama/Farin Ruwa, 16km. Nasarawa Ara, 14km, Ribi-Jangwa, 12km, Assakio-Obi, 27km, Angoro Junction/Bassa, 10km, Gudi-Anguwan Dorawa, 1km, Baure grazing reserve in Awe, 19km.
Among others, we also have Akurba power Sub-station, 2.2km, Sabon Gari Salami/Tudun Wada in Keffi, 3km.
In addition, Kofan Gwari/Bakin Ayeni/Amba,16.9km, Rinze Nakere, Ancho-Ancho, Babba-Andaha, 13.4km and Alushi Wakama, 5km are still in progress as the adminstration of Engr Abdullahi A. Sule is intensifying effort to complete the projects and to be put to use.
